FileRide has been designed to be both private and secure. We’ve taken great care to make sure no document content or sensitive information is exposed outside the realm of your own computer. The only information sent from your computer to our servers about documents, that you choose to scan, are digital signatures of those documents. These signatures give no hint about the actual contents, name, or location of a file. Keep in mind that tags you manually apply to documents in FileRide are sent to our server in order to enable collective tagging and classification.

No one will be able to tell what’s on your computer just because you add stuff to FileRide. If you join or start a conversation about a document, other people having that same document can see your nickname and public profile. However, unless you accept someone as your friend, they will not be able to see any of your private information or list your friends.
